Looking for a resort that’s nice and quiet, convenient, pretty, uncommercialised, but you also want top class advanced skiing because you like a challenge?   SILVER STAR IS YOUR PLACE.

It’s a charming little village with lots of easy-skiing for novices and intermediates right from the doorstep, but go over the back-side onto the Silver Star’s second mountain and there’s a great array of challenges for hot-shots.   Silver Star is also unique in having a wide choice of large ski-in/ski-out condos and houses – 4, 5, and 6 bedrooms – so it’s a great place for groups or large families. Amazing value too.

The village is built in mock-Victorian railway town style. The buildings' clapperboards have been painted in the garish colours that were fashionable in those days-purple, pink, bright yellow. Quite a sight! But it's the only thing that's loud in Silver Star. It's the quietest resort in the business.

The quietest mainstream ski village we know.  Definitely not a place for après-skiers, shoppers or part-time/non skiers
Only one hotel and that’s just a little 3 star.   Big White and Sun Peaks are similar resorts which are much better for hotel options
No non-stop flights
 

Putnam Station: Only true hotel in the resort (the others are really only condo complexes). Cute little ski-in/ski-out 3 star bang in the centre of the village.

Silver Star Condos/Houses: Wide variety of options from studios up to 6 bedrooms.
