Steamboat, nestled up by Rabbit Ears pass in Colorado, offers an intimate skiing experience with all the big resort highlights. The intermediate runs are long and fun, while the tree and glade skiing is some of the best out there. The resort reaps the benefit of the "champagne powder" that falls here, some of the lightest snow to play in, making it a glorious place to be after a storm. Anyone can feel comfortable skiing Steamboat's mountain since there are several areas on the mountain that cater to different ability levels. The resort has also expanded its collection of tree skiing by opening the Pioneer Ridge area. This has increased Steamboat's advanced skiing options nicely.
There are some great bars and restaurants in town and at the resort itself. From local's only watering holes to more tourist-friendly spots, the choices are good. There are a couple of good bars located right in the base area that have a tremendous apres ski scene.
Steamboat is a great all-rounder. We get more reviews about it from our clients than any other Colorado resort. |
