These resorts get huge regular dumps of wonderful dry, light powder and have some of the world's greatest off-piste skiing. There's lots of steep and not so steep 'n' deep stuff to play in, amongst trees and in open bowls. It's a good skiers' Mecca, but intermediates with a sense of adventure can also have a great time. Guests come here just to ski and relax in a nice hotel. Note: these are extremely sought after, kudos-accumulating resorts and hotel prices reflect this. |

There really isn't much in Alta as far as lodging goes, a few hotels and lodges are scattered about in the valley. Most of the accommodation fills early with Alta enthusiasts who don't mind the less luxurious accommodations and lack of nightlife. If you are really interested in staying in Alta, let us know early so we can try and track down a suitable option for you. Most of our clients that ski Alta and the surrounding areas often find staying in Midvale or Sandy a much better option. These towns are convenient to all the major areas including Park City, Solitude, as well as Alta/Snowbird. Drive time from them is only about 30-45 minutes to any particular resort. |
